When we dream, we sometimes find it difficult to distinguish between reality and dreams. In my personal experience, dreaming brings a sense of peace to life. Even so, only a few dreams are memorable enough to be remembered after waking up and only very memorable dreams can be recalled after a few years. Out of curiosity, I try to recreate an ‘ideal’ dream, a dream where everything that I want is present though drawing as a narrative medium. There is no exact meaning of the images present in this work, one thing that is certain is that in the process of drawing this piece, I seek tranquillity. I still see drawing as a process of making ‘my’ mark on a surface. This piece was an attempt to explore more of my method in ‘’Modulasi Rasa’’. The squares/grid in this work are an attempt to show the difference between consciousness and unconsciousness when dreaming. The part inside the squares represents the ‘mark’ of my conscious side, while the part outside the squares represents the unconscious side. The woman is a manifestation of a ‘’dream owner’’, a landmark, so she is not completely inside nor outside of the squares/grid.
